Terms of Service
Shing.tv is a private membership-based website and app, and a private club. We will do whatever we want within the limits of US law. We don't care if that's unacceptable to you. Your remedy is to close the tab and immediately leave.
Who Can Join?
The general public is welcomed to join as Community Members. Community Members in good standing can purcahse upgraded memberships.
No member is guaranteed membership, and membership privileges can be revoked. Refunds are not given if a member is removed from the community for violating the Terms of Service.
Accessing Shing.tv
Shing.tv will not be liable if for any reason all or any part of Shing.tv is unavailable at any time or for any period. From time to time, Shing.tv may restrict access to some parts of Shing.tv, or the entire app, to users, including registered users and registered users with paid memberships.
You also acknowledge that your account is personal to you and agree not to provide any other person with access to Shing.tv or portions of it using your user name, password, or other security information. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to or use of your user name or password or any other breach of security. You should use particular caution when accessing your account from a public or shared computer so that others are not able to view or record your password or other personal information.
Shing.tv reserves the right to disable any user, password, or other identifier, whether chosen by you or provided by us, at any time if you violate these Terms of Service.
Stream Channels and Channel Operators
An application is required, and you must be approved, to operate a broadcast-capable stream channel on Shing.tv. They are not free, and they are not given to everyone. All site members can Apply for a channel. No purchase is necessary to apply for a channel.
Jews are not welcomed to stream on Shing.tv. Homosexuals, trans, and people who identify as any gender other than "man" or "woman" are not welcomed to stream on Shing.tv. People who are anti-White are not welcomed to stream on Shing.tv.
Because not everyone who applies for a channel will be accepted. You will be reviewed, and can be rejected (denied). So, yes, please do apply for a channel before purchasing your Extreme-tier membership if that is the only reason you would subscribe on that tier.
You will not be able to go live on your channel without an Extreme-tier membership in good standing. If your Extreme membership lapses, so does your ability to go live. You will not lose anything that you have purchased. You just won't be able to do more until another month of Extreme is purchased.
Site Membership
Paid memberships, donations, and platform service fees are how Shing.tv funds itself without advertising.
There is a free tier, but it is very limited in capability.
There are two separate paid membership plans, which fund the platform's operation and growth by providing access to more of Shing.tv. Visit the Shing.tv Store to read more about each plan and what is offered.
Community Member
Community Members are not required to pay to use Shing.tv, but their accounts are very limited. Free members can only watch low-quality live streams when it's free to do so (PPV coming soon), and are not guaranteed a viewer seat if the system is running at capacity.
Free chat is heavily throttled in crowded rooms. Free members can't upload stickers. Free members can't create clips without paying per clip. Free members will have no access to DVR services.
Shing.tv Premium Tier Membership
The Premium plan is for viewers who want nice things on Shing.tv (see plan for details), want priority chat, want to have their own Stickers... But, maybe you don't need all the nice things. Maybe you don't need or want to go live on your own channel. That's fine.
The Premium membership is for you. It is less expensive than Shing.tv Extreme tier, and doesn't include the ability to broadcast on a channel.
Shing.tv Extreme Tier Membership
The Shing.tv Extreme Tier doesn't require you to have a channel. You can be on the Extreme tier and just not stream or even request a channel. That's fine. You get all the other non-broadcast benefits of Extreme, and you are helping the platform grow faster by paying for the extreme tier of service on Shing.tv.
What Happens When My Plan Expires?
You lose nothing that you bought. You keep your Stickers. You just can't upload more. And, you won't have Priority Chat.
If you're on the Extreme tier and own a channel, you won't be able to go live. But, you lose nothing. Your channel remains. Your library and any uploads will remain. If you episodes on the DVR, they will remain until they expire. You will not be able to promote them to Library without an Extreme-tier membership in good standing.
At any time, you can buy another month of Extreme and pick up where you left off. If you're Premium, you can buy another month of Premium and pick up where you left off. You will lose nothing if your paid membership lapses and your membership reverts to free/Community Member.
If you pay to make something, you keep it.
Can I Select Recurring Options?
Not at this time. For one, we are seeing if the environment even can sustain itself financially. That is why we have purchases locked to one month at a time. If successful, we will add a recurring option.
If that is successful, I will add discount bundles for selecting more months.
If that is successful, I will add the ability to purchase a year of service at a discount.
Can I Cancel My Membership?
That is currently moot. You're buying one month at a time, they are paid in advance, and they cannot be canceled / no refunds. If you made a mistake, we can cancel your membership and refund it. But, if you've used your membership, gone live, etc., we cannot cancel it and will not provide a refund.
When your current membership expires, it simply reverts to Community Member (free-tier) plan.
We can't pro-rate a partially used subscription.
